Established in 2001, the Advanced Fuel Cycle Initiative (AFCI) Global Nuclear Energy Partnership (GNEP) University Fellowship Program is part of the AFCI program's desire to support university students and university programs - particularly those students and programs that will help strengthen the development of nuclear-related fields. This program also supports the stability of the nuclear infrastructure and develops research partnerships that are helping to enlarge the nation's nuclear science technology base.
The application period for 2008 is now over and the program has awarded nine fellowships.
The 2009 program announcement will be posted on this site early next year.
